Our Lake Erie trips are run out of Monroe’s Marina at Barcelona harbor NY. Aboard our 28′ Wellcraft Coastal, with a full head and cabin below deck.
Walleye season opens on the first Saturday in May on Lake Erie but day time fishing starts to pick up in June. This is when we typically start to run our trips to ensure our clients have the best time possible out on the water. We will continue to run until October for Walleye. That being said the night bite for walleye in the month of May is fantastic and we do offer that option once the season starts May 1st.
Lake Trout are a very under appreciated sport fish on Lake Erie. Starting at the end of July, Lake Trout & Steelhead can be found mixed in our Walleye areas just under the thermocline that sets up as the surface water warms. We can target Lake Trout throughout the mid to late summer. Steelhead and Brown Trout are also common catches throughout the season.
